A couple of weeks ago I shared my early progress on a project involving a gold and silver leaf background. I’m happy to now share the finished product with you!
I wanted to capture the intensity of this little boy and the mother did not just want a very traditional finished piece. It is hard to reproduce, but I was very pleased with the way the silver shone through and gave the painting real depth and life.

New commissions under-way
It’s great to have lots of commissions to work on at the same time. I find with less time to get stuck on one particular painting, it keeps ones style freer and gives the paint time to really dry between painting sessions!
These are a few I am in the process of working on this week. I shall be starting the others next week, when I will post some more!
