These three brothers, all completely different, were lovely models to paint.
It was interesting to paint them in tandem over a period of time. To capture them all at the same moment at their three different stages, with the idea of hanging them alongside each other.
Their parents commissioned separate portraits, so that each child had their own painting one day and legacy. But they needed to have a similar mood, tone and colour palette to work together.
